Richard Gibson

Richard Gibson

Richard Gibson is an entrepreneur, attorney, and mediator whose career reflects an unwavering commitment to hard work, service, and lifelong learning. Most recently, he led the VTCRC Innovations team, playing a key role in developing the Entrepreneur Resource Center and supporting its successful 2025 launch in collaboration with VTCRC leadership and the Innovations and Partnerships team. 

As a trade school graduate, Richard values overlooked and underestimated paths to success. He holds an active, unrestricted electrical contractor’s license and an unrestricted low-voltage license in Georgia, and he is an active member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. His lifelong connection to the field informs his understanding of the pressing national need to meet rapidly growing electrical demand. 

Richard earned his J.D. at Appalachian School of Law and is a licensed attorney in the District of Columbia. He also serves as a registered neutral in general civil mediation in Georgia.
