Zachary Brown

Zachary Brown serves as an associate director of business development with LINK, where he leverages his experience at the intersection of industrial and academic research to build expansive and strategic industry partnerships within the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and Virginia Cooperative Extension. 

Zach finds immense joy in creatively uncovering value within partnerships that was previously obscured by information silos and static thinking. His diverse experience within for-profit companies and universities allows him to understand how organizations might approach research and innovation differently, and then create unique collaborations that are greater than the sum of their parts. Zach earned a Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry from the University of California, Davis, and a B.S. in chemistry from Butler University.
