Gwen Harrington is driven by a steadfast personal belief: The right partnerships have the power to change the world. It is her exceptional talent for forging these transformative relationships that makes her a natural in her role as director of strategic engagement and partnerships. Harrington architects all facets of alumni and corporate engagement — enhancing value to Hokies while strengthening corporate relationships with Virginia Tech. Harrington’s willingness to take creative risks in her role has brought unprecedented ideas to fruition.

When Harrington joined the LINK: Center for Advancing Partnerships team in 2020, she brought 12 years of experience in alumni engagement and comprehensive expertise in a wide array of alumni relations areas, including alumni engagement, fundraising, career and professional  development, external outreach and marketing, campus and industry partnerships, student and young alumni advancement programs, and more.

Harrington has an M.S. in information technology from Virginia Tech’s program that ranks No. 3 in the U.S. and a B.S. in psychology, also from Virginia Tech.
