Brandy SalmonVice President for Innovation and Partnerships //With over 25 years of experience at the intersection of research and business, Brandy Salmon serves as vice president of innovation and partnerships for Virginia Tech. In this role, she leads LINK + LICENSE + LAUNCH, a unit founded to build industry partnerships, commercialize technologies, and start new ventures. Lisa YoungExecutive Assistant, Project Coordinator, Innovation and Partnerships//As executive assistant for Innovation and Partnerships, Lisa Young strengthens relationships between the university and its partners while serving as a point of contact for internal and external parties; coordinating special events and meetings; and assisting with logistical, fundraising, and management functions. Over decades of experience at Virginia Tech, Young has worked with every type of audience, including senior administrators, corporate executives, staff, faculty, alumni, donors, students, and the general public. <br/> Before joining Innovation and Partnerships, she served in administrative roles in the College of Engineering dean’s office for 12 years and in the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute for 12 years. When not at work, Lisa is passionate about sports and is a big Hokies and Yankees fan! Now that her son, Ethan, is a UMW college graduate and has completed his athletic career, she is enjoying her time visiting baseball stadiums with her family and cheering on the Yankees. In her spare time, she is a barista at Starbucks enjoying the coffee atmosphere and connecting with customers and the community.
